Patience, Patience

Another couple of weeks and maybe I can start shooting some scenic photographs again. Until then, I'll spare you pictures of green moss and sparkling brown mud puddles. Won't be long now until Alaska is looking gorgeous. The geese are arriving daily—always a sure sign that warmer weather is close behind.

My husband and I argued in the backyard about what kind of whistling bird we could hear warbling and chirping from somewhere in the trees. My husband said it sounded like a robin. Yeah, RIGHT! Cute little robins do NOT make a fuss like we were hearing. I figured it had to be some kind of mutant vulture that had found its way to the frozen north. Good grief! The noise!

Hmm. Squawking vultures look remarkably similar to cute little robins.

I can't wait to see pictures of Alaska when the weather is nice. I want to take a vacation there one day. But not in the winter.

Hello Kim
Thanks for visiting my blog today. I am excited to have a new friend in Alaska. I have really enjoyed reading your blog and getting to know you a bit. You have a beautiful family. I loved seeing pictures of Alaska, the moose and the ice sculptures. Your robins are very different from the robins we get in England. Look forward to reading more about your life in Alaska.

Wow! What a great picture. I can't wait to see more pics! Spring, eh? We jump from winter straight into summer here in Florida!!! And that Teriyaki chicken sounds wonderful - as I 'm trying to decide what's for dinner here! LOL

Each spring day must be like a gift when you have it!

I'm thinking that you were right about that robin. Those little round bobbles don't do anything annoying. ;)

Very cute! One of the best things about marriage is being able to swear up and down we are right because we don't have to worry about loosing too much pride when we have to admit we were wrong.

Robins are like those toddlers that no one ever wants to babysit. They look cute, but are SO obnoxious!

Hope the warm weather finds you soon! I'm doing my best to send it north.

Whilst driving through our town the other day, I had to brake for a Papa and Mama goose and 5 of their babies. Strolled across the highway right in front of my van... It's definitely a spring thing! ;o)
