The Fall Comes on Little Fireweed Feet

It's that time of year when fireweed starts showing up. You know what that means.

Six more weeks of summer, if we're lucky.

Dinner last night: beef stew, biscuits

I don't even like to think "six more weeks of summer". I wish it were 16. Hubby just cut us a huge load this weekend and is now covered in poison ivy. I dreamt last night I had it too....

We heat 2 houses and our water with our wood. It takes a ton. But I would be LOST without our wood stove!

Sometimes....okay, all the time, I wish I had a wood cookstove. For winter baking, of course. Maybe I'd look forward to winter more.

How bittersweet.

By the way, I just saw Sonny With A Chance for the first time on Sunday (with Sterling Knight) and immediately thought of you. I have to say, he IS pretty cute.

You can only hope. You deserve nice weather up there after the hard winters you guys have there.

And what comes after summer in Alaska? Winter? Or is there chance of fall?

This summer is passing by way too quickly.

Oh no! It's like the Groundhog day of Alaska, but with fall... and flowers.
