Old Friends

Margie and I were best friends in high school. She relocated to the East Coast long ago, so we rarely see each other any more. But the beauty of our friendship is that when we do get together we're able to pick right up where we left off. The years melt away and we're just two girlfriends again . . . gabbing, shopping, and having fun.

Dinner last night: steak with sauteed mushrooms, baked potato

What a great picture of you and your friend! Isn't it wonderful to have a friend like that who you can just pick up with from where you last left off?! I have a very dear friend whom I've known for 20 years since college and we rarely see each other but when we do, it's like no time has passed!!

My friend had her kids at the start of her marriage (whereas I didn't have mine until 10 years in), so she's got 2 teenage daughters already.

Margie's girls gives me hope . . . not all adolescent females dress like strippers and sneak out of the house at midnight to get drunk with their drop-out boyfriends. Some actually turn out smart and loving and responsible and just a little bit sassy!
